The Village of Chester has hired Heather McCallum as the new Clerk/Treasurer

The Village of Chester Commission is pleased to announce the hiring of a permanent Clerk/Treasurer. Please join us in welcoming Heather McCallum.

Heather comes to us from the Town of Lunenburg, where she formerly held the Assistant Clerk and Communications position, and most recently has been their Public Engagement Specialist.

Prior to municipal government, she worked in corporate communications for 15+ years in Toronto/Halifax producing and managing national and regional projects. She holds degrees from York University (Communications, English) and Dalhousie University (Theatre) as well as continuing education in local government. She lives on the South Shore in Lunenburg with her husband, son, international students, and two cats.

Heather has a particular interest in business, tourism, and liveable communities and is looking forward to pouring her energy into the Village of Chester.

Heather starts on March 13, 2023.

The Commission thanks Jeff Conrad for serving as our interim Clerk/Treasurer over the past few months and wishes him well as he resumes retirement at the end of the month.
