The public swim schedule our final week is as follows:
- Mon Aug 24: 12pm-2pm and 5pm-8pm
- Tue Aug 25: 12pm-2pm and 5pm-8pm
- Wed Aug 26: 12pm-2pm
- Thu Aug 27: 12pm-2pm and 5pm-8pm
- Fri Aug 28: 12pm-2pm and 5pm-8pm
- Sat Aug 29: 12pm--8pm
- Sun Aug 30: 12pm-8pm CLOSING DAY

2026-08-19 Monthly Village Commission Meeting

The Chester Village Commission's Aug 19th Monthly Meeting agenda(169 KB) and agenda package(7.94 MB) are now available.
The meeting will be held in-person at 63 Regent Street and over livestream at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.
Items of interest to the public include: Village appointments to the Chester Fire Services Committee, amendments to the Meetings & Procedures Policy, and project and financial updates. The Association of Nova Scotia Villages is holding their Annual Conference & AGM in the Village of Chester next month, and preparations are underway.
The Lido Pool is in its last two weeks of operation, so visit soon!

2026-08-12 Special Village Commission Meeting

The Chester Village Commission is holding a Special Meeting on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. The agenda(171 KB) and agenda package(4.65 MB) are now available.
The meeting is to advance Business Arising item to prepare for upcoming Zoé Vallé Memorial Library fundraising opportunities. As promised in the Village's original Library proposal, an investment plan has been drafted re: Library funds for the Commission's consideration.
The meeting will be held in-person at 63 Regent Street and on livestream.The public is welcome.

Please note that the Village of Chester Commission office is CLOSED on Monday for the holiday, as is the Zoé Vallé Memorial Library, but the Lido Pool will be OPEN as usual with public swims 12-2pm & 5-8pm (swim lessons are still on Monday).

2026-07-23 Special Village Commission Meeting

The Chester Village Commission is holding a Special Meeting on Thursday afternoon; the agenda(145 KB) and agenda package(2.09 MB) are now available.
The meeting will be a brief one to consider a motion needed for a grant application. It will be held in-person only at 2:00 pm in the Boardroom of the Zoe Valle Library, 63 Regent Street.
The public is welcome.

The 2026 annual election was for one (1) Commission seat this year for a three-year term, 2026-2029. Below is the tally as of the close of polls at 7:00 pm on Jun 23, 2026.
