May 4th is International Firefighters' Day

This is a day for the community to show support for all firefighters worldwide, recognize their level of commitment and dedication; remember those lost or injured in the line of duty; say "thank you"; and, as a mark of respect.

The Village of Chester owes so much to the Chester Volunteer Fire Department. These dedicated, well-trained friends and neighbours give countless hours of their personal time and hearts to keeping us safe.

RFP: Village Flower Baskets

UPDATE: Submissions are now CLOSED. A decision on the winning proponent will be released shortly.

The Village of Chester is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the care of our flower baskets for the Summer 2023 season.

Submission deadline: May 24, 2023 at 12pm (noon) local time

Community Grant Applications Open

The Village of Chester Commission has funding available to non-profit organizations for activities that encourage tourism growth by celebrating our heritage, culture, and natural environment, promoting inclusion and engagement of citizens, or creating an experience that encourages ongoing/repeat visitation to the Village and its businesses and organizations.

Send in your organization’s application to the Village Commission by Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Call for Volunteers - Audit Committee

Are you a resident of the Village? Do you have a financial background?

The Village's Audit Committee is seeking a citizen representative. The Committee meets approx. 2x/year to oversee audit matters and receive the annual audit report. We invite anyone interested to apply via a letter or email, including relevant education or experience.

The deadline is April 21, 2023 at 4:00pm.
